It was 2020. I was a fresh high school graduate, living with my now wife’s family and in between jobs. I’d tried everything from photography to food service and even caregiving, but nothing ever stuck. That was, until an old friend made a post about the family glass shop needing some help.

They hired me on and I got to work. Learning to cut my first piece of glass made everything I’d been looking for click. They took me under their wing and taught me much of what I know. I fell in love with fixing the things that made someone’s life better. Seeing people excited about my work, even something as simple as installing patio door rollers, makes me proud. That feeling sparked a passion for this work that I’ll have for the rest of my life. I will always be grateful they took a chance on me and opened doors I never knew existed.

In 2024 I started working towards my contractor’s license. Through blood, sweat, and tears I breathed life into What A Pane. I’m excited to see where this journey takes me and with my Wife, Family and Friends by my side I’m certain that What A Pane Glass will become something great.
